Injured officer receives huge donation

A local store generously donated furniture to the family of a recovering police officer.

An entire living room package from the Ashley Furniture Homestore of Delmar was donated to Salisbury Officer Zachary Converse. Officer Converse was hurt in a head-on collision after responding to a domestic dispute in early June.

Officer Converse and his girlfriend were reportedly in the process of moving to Berlin before the collision, which has been especially challenging since he has spent the past few weeks at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

When folks over at Ashley Furniture Homestore of Delmar heard about the news, we’re told they were eager to get involved and help out.
