Information sought on Stevensville building fire

Investigators are looking for information, after a vehicle and a building were apparently set on fire on Saturday.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says it all happened just before 10:00 PM on May 30, at the Island Professional Park at Suite 200-B, in Stevensville. After a passerby reported the blaze, Kent Island and Grasonville Fire Departments responded with 30 firefighters, and reportedly had the flames under control in about 20 minutes.
Officials say a 2010 Ford Fusion and a one story wood framed commercial office building were damaged, to a tune of about $70,000. According to the report, the cause has been ruled as incendiary, and there were two separate points of origin for the flames, both inside the vehicle, and inside of the building. There were reportedly no injuries in the incident.
Investigators with the Fire Marshal’s Office are being assisted by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information about the blaze is asked to contact the Northeast Regional Office at 410-836-4844 or 1-800-492-7529.
