Fmr. Delaware prosecutor sentenced on rape charges

Former Delaware Prosecutor, 35-year-old Daniel G. Simmons has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for fourth degree rape.

The rape involved a 16-year-old boy during a  threesome. The 16-year-old was a student at the Salesianum School.

Simmons pleaded guilty in late March to the rape under a plea deal.

Following his 18 month sentence, Simmons will be required to serve 6 months in home confinement and then 2 years of probation.
