First 100 days of homeless veteran initiative celebrated

Friday marks 100 days since Delaware took on the challenge of ending veteran homelessness in the first state.
Through the initiative, 24 homeless veterans have been identified and have been placed either in shelters or some sort of permanent housing.
We’re told one-third of the veterans were female and officials say they’re looking into the possible need for more shelters for women.
They say the goal for the next one hundred days will be to reach out to veterans before they become a risk of becoming homeless.
