Dover PD: Three wounded in two shootings

Authorities from the Dover Police Department say a woman and two men were shot in two incidents overnight Saturday.

According to police, the first incident happened in the parking lot of the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino around 1:47 a.m. Police say they responded to reports of a large fight at the establishment after an “All White Clothing” party at the casino.

Police tell 47 ABC, a 26-year-old man was shot twice in the torso by an unknown suspect. He was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and is in stable but serious condition.

One hour after, police say they responded to reports of another shooting at an IHOP restaurant on S. Little Creek Road, which injured a 33-year-old man and a 23-three-year woman. Both victims were transported to Bayhealth Kent General, where the woman was treated and released. We’re told the male victim remains hospitalized and is in stable but serious condition.

Detectives say they believe the subjects involved in the second shooting were previously at the private party hosted at the Dover Downs Casino; however, they are still investigating the possibility of both shootings being related.
