Dover man reportedly arrested with loaded 40 cal handgun on him

An Officer’s keen eye reportedly led to the seizure of a loaded handgun in Kent County over the weekend.
Dover Police say on Sunday afternoon, around 3:40 AM, an Officer on patrol noticed two men trying to hide on the side of a building. According to the report, the Officer found this suspicious, and stopped the men.
Police say 23-year-old Rondree Campbell was intoxicated, and admitted to the Officer that he had been drinking. Officers then reportedly searched Campbell, during which he apparently struggled with them. Police say during that search, they found a loaded 40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun on Campbell.
He was then charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of ammunition by person prohibited, carry concealed deadly weapon, and resisting arrest. Campbell is now behind bars at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $15,570 bond.
