Dispute over information sharing in police assault lawsuit

(AP) – An attorney for the city of Dover says a dispute with the American Civil Liberties Union over information sharing in a lawsuit stemming from an alleged police assault has been resolved.

The ACLU filed a redacted version of a June 19 complaint letter Wednesday, one day after a court hearing in the discovery dispute.

In the letter, the ACLU complained that the city had not produced all use of force reports submitted by Cpl. Thomas Webster IV, and that it had failed to turn over other records, including internal affairs records regarding four incidents in which police kicked suspects in the head.

Police last month released a dashcam video from 2013 showing Webster kicking Lateef Dickerson in the face when he was on the ground on his hands and knees.
