Delmar crash places woman in critical condition

A Salisbury woman is in critical condition tonight following a serious crash in Delmar that happened just before 11 AM Saturday.
Police say Ashlee Smith of Salisbury failed to remain stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Whitesville Road and Pepperbox road.
We’re told that as she approached the intersection a truck driven by a Georgetown man struck the right side of Smith’s car.
Police say Smith was transported to PRMC where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and eventually released.
According to police, Smith’s passenger, Basha Taylor of Salisbury, was transported to PRMC where she was listed as in critical condition.
Delaware State Police tell 47 ABC that charges are pending further investigation.
