Dan Fein Shuts Out The Titans
The Eastern Shore Baseball League continued Thursday night with the one-loss Perdue Chicks taking on the Georgetown Titans.
Current Salisbury pitcher, Dan Fein, took the mound facing soon-to-be Gull, Chris Huk who is transferring from Del Tech to pitch at Salisbury University next season. The two pitchers did very well – Huk walking a few batters, but managed to keep the Chicks off the board until the bottom of the fourth inning. Designated hitter, Pat Murray batted in Nate Smith to take the 1-0 lead to close out the fourth inning.
Perdue continued to push on throughout the next three innings where they plated another two taking a 3-0 lead and the Chicks hold on for the 3-0 win over the Titans.
With this win over the Titans, the Chicks are now 4 games ahead of the Titans in first place.
The Chicks and the Titans meet up again on Sunday with a double-header – first pitch is set for 1:00 pm.
