Coast Guard rescue made off of Ocean City

A commercial fisherman from Connecticut is reportedly in stable condition tonight after a coast guard rescue this afternoon about 50 miles east of Ocean City.

Officials from the U.S. Coast Guard from sector Delaware Bay responded to the call about the man having troubling breathing.

A coast guard helicopter from Atlantic City, N.J. found the 76-foot fishing boat, and a rescue team dropped in to stabilize the 20-year old man.

They then airlifted the man to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.

Officials told 47 ABC that the vessel was in the Ocean City area fishing for scallops, and was preparing to head back to New Bedford, Conn., when the emergency took place.
