“Bras For A Cause” awards ceremony

Women Supporting Women had it’s annual “Bras for a Cause” fundraiser during the month of May and on Tuesday night the winners were announced. This year contestants designed bras to raise awareness for breast cancer and the bras were displayed at the Centre at Salisbury.

Some of the various designs included Alice and Wonderland, Victoria’s Secret and Dr. Seuss. Tuesday night around 50 people attended the event and there were multiple winners. Some of the winners included Charissa Thomas for Individual artist, Daisy Harper for Peoples Choice – Youth and Vernon Powell Shoes for Best Overall Creative Design.

47 ABC spoke with the Director of Fund Development, Cindy Feist, about next years event and she tells us, “The design feature next year is pick your decade, whether it’s 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s you choose.”
