Art Shell Invitational returns to UMES

Art Shell, three-time Super Bowl Champion and UMES alumnus Art Shell held his annual golf invitational mixer on Tuesday afternoon at UMES.

This year’s event is in honor of the late Charlie Sifford Sr, first black player on the PGA tour. Lexus contributed a $100,000 endowment to the PGA Golf Management Program at the school.

Over 40 former NFL and celebrity friends joined Shell for the event, with the first tee time taking place tomorrow at Greater Hope Golf Course in Westover, MD.
