Woodbridge Baseball Shuts Out Snow Hill

The Woodbridge baseball team traveled to Salisbury to take part in the Bi-State Challenge Saturday, taking on Snow Hill and came away with a 4-0 win. The win improves the Blue Raiders to 3-8, while the loss drops the Eagles to 9-7.

The teams would be in a pitchers duel early on with neither team being able to string together consecutive hits. Eventually in the 3rd, Garrett Temple would get on base and eventually work his way to 3rd before scoring off a wild pitch. The Blue Raiders would look for more in the next innings and work the bases loaded with 2 outs before Derrick Smith worked his way out of the jam with a huge strike out. The Blue Raiders would come back just a couple innings later though, after Joshua Keefe would hit a 2 RBI double down the 3rd base line to push the lead to 3. Logan Wescott would add an insurance run off a wild pitch in the 7th for the final run of the game.

Woodbridge returns to action Tuesday when they host Indian River, while Snow Hill returns to action Monday when they take on Bennett.
