Wicomico Co. sheriff deputies head back to Baltimore

Two days after returning from Baltimore City, Sheriff Mike Lewis and eleven deputies with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office are heading back over the bridge.

The group left the office around 2:00 PM today.

Sheriff Lewis says they are going at the request of Maryland State Police, but there is no word on how long they will stay. Earlier this week, he and nine other deputies spent a little more than twenty-four hours on their feet in the city.

47 ABC reached out to sheriff’s offices in Somerset, Worcester, and Dorchester counties. They say they will not be sending anyone, as of now. We reached out to the Talbot County office as well, but we are still waiting to hear back.
