Vikings sail past rival North Dorchester in regular season finale

Jamyra Chester hit a RBI triple deep into center to break a 3-3 tie, as Cambridge beat county rival North Dorchester 13-3 Friday afternoon.

Kaylie Seabrease scored on a fielder’s choice off a throw to second giving the Vikings an early 2-0 lead. Karli Lewis would go on to score off a throwing error on a Paige Bleyer hit, making it 3-0.

North Dorchester would answer in the bottom of the third, Jess Hardy popped one up that got  misplayed by two Cambridge players, allowing Meredith Bell tied the game at 3-3.

At that point needing a spark, Chester came up and delivered the biggest hit of the game, breaking the tie and bringing Regan Jones home. After Chester’s blast, Kristi Malkus would hit a sacrifice fly that would bring in Chester, giving the Vikings and pitcher Paige Bleyer a 2 run cushion they would never relinquish.
