Upside down car sends one to hospital in Dewey Beach

An early morning one vehicle crash in Dewey Beach, remains under investigation.

The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company says on Thursday around 4:30 AM, they responded to a motor vehicle collision on Coastal Highway and Rodney Street, in Dewey Beach.

Once on scene, first responders reportedly found a car, overturned in the southbound lane of Coastal Highway. Officials say one person was removed from the vehicle by firefighters, and taken from the scene to Beebe Healthcare.

The vehicle was later removed from the roadway. Dewey Beach Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
