UPDATE: MSP investigating crash involving Trooper on Salisbury Bypass

A Trooper is recovering after reportedly loosing control and crashing on the Salisbury Bypass.
Maryland State Police say on Tuesday, around 9:40 PM, Troopers responded to a one vehicle crash on the Salisbury Bypass, near Northwood Drive. Once on scene, Police say they found that a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria, that was a MSP unmarked patrol vehicle, had lost control while driving westbound on the bypass and drove off the roadway.
According to the report, the vehicle his a guard rail, before overturning and rolling down an embankment. The driver, 46-year-old Sgt. Anthony Myers, of Salisbury, was rushed to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment, and was later released.
MSP says Sgt. Myers is currently assigned to the Forestville Barrack. The intersection was reportedly shut down for about three and a half hours while the scene was cleared.
