UPDATE: Dover Police on scene of shooting in Capital Green

Dover Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened around 1:50 PM on Friday afternoon in the Capital Green neighborhood. Multiple agencies are reportedly on the scene.

Police tell 47 ABC that there is no one in custody, but they believe that the victim was targeted. The victim was reportedly rushed to Kent General Hospital, before being air-lifted to Christiana Hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.

The shooting happened in an alleyway along East Water Street and Sussex Avenue, according to authorities. The shooter reportedly fled on foot, causing an evacuation of neighbors, and a lockdown of East Dover Elementary School. Everyone has reportedly since returned. Police say they are still searching for the suspect.
