UPDATE: DE passes bill allowing standardized testing opt out

A bill that would allow parents to opt their children out of standardized testing has passed the in the Delaware house.

In a 36 to 3 vote, the bill would allow students to skip the annual assessment without repercussions.

It takes a specific crack at the Smarter Balanced assessment, which is a new tied to the Common Core.

The bill is now headed to the Senate.
