UPDATE: 16-year-old in custody for Salisbury PNC Bank robbery

Police say the person who was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the robbery of a PNC Bank in Salisbury, is only 16-years-old.

Salisbury Police say around 9:50 AM, Officers responded to the bank on Isabella Street, for reports of a robbery. Police say they learned that an unarmed man went into the bank, handed the teller a note demanding money, and fled on foot after getting an undisclosed amount of cash. Detectives say they were able to watch the surveillance footage of the incident, and immediately broadcasted a description of the suspect around to other Officers. The suspect was reportedly described as a 16-20-year-old white male, wearing a red baseball hat and a blue shirt.

Police say they started searching the area for the suspect, and found 16-year-old Michael Quillen, near Parsons Road and Mitchell Road. Police say he matched the description of the suspect, had PNC Bank property on him, and witnesses at the scene also positively identified him as the person who had just robbed the bank.

Quillen was then arrested, and charged as an adult with armed robbery, robbery, theft, and assault. He is currently behind bars at the Wicomico County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
