Traffic stop in Seaford reportedly leads to seizure of 300+ baggies of heroin

Three people have been arrested, after Police say they were found with heroin, and without licenses during a traffic stop in Seaford.

Delaware State Police say on Monday, around 12:10 PM, a Trooper stopped a silver Cadillac on Concord Road, after if apparently didn’t signal while coming to a stop on Haven Drive. During the stop, Troopers say they spoke with the driver, 20-year-old Hunter Waller, of Laurel, who informed them that he didn’t have a driver’s license, only a learners permit.

The Trooper then apparently found that neither of the passengers, 22-year-old Sharmayne Teagle, and 26-year-old Jermar Thompson, both of Seaford, had licenses either. Police say the occupants were all then asked to get out of the car, while Troopers searched it. During the search, Police say they found a black sock inside the center console, with 308 small wax paper bags of heroin inside, totaling more than 4.6 grams. They also reportedly recovered more than $400 in suspected drug proceeds.

All three occupants were arrested, and charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, two counts of conspiracy 2nd degree, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Teagle was released after posting $24,800 bond.

Thompson was additionally charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, after he was reportedly found to have 14.8 grams on him. He was ordered to be held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $50,000 bond.

In addition, Waller was charged with driving without a learner permit in possession, failure to signal continuously 300 feet prior to turning, driving with more than 1 passenger on learner permit, and driving without a qualified licensed driver. He was released after posting $25,000 bond.
