SU Men’s Lax Advance With Win Over Roanoke

The Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament with a 6-3 win Wednesday night over Roanoke. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 16-4 on the year.
Salisbury would jump out to a quick lead after Carson Kalama would follow a missed shot from Thomas Crillo and put it home. Shortly after that, the Gulls would stretch their lead to 2-0 after senior Mike Kane would would take a pass and rifle it home from the left side. The Hawks would score 2 straight to tie up the game. Nathan Blondino would then put the Gulls back out in front after he took a nice pass from Sean Fitzgerald and would score near post. Fitzgerald and Kalama would add the only goals of the second half to give SU the win.
Salisbury advances to play No. 7 Stevenson on Saturday.
