Salisbury City Council announces proclamation for SU Entrepreneurship Week

The Salisbury City Council officially marked Monday as the start of Salisbury University Entrepreneurship Week.
The proclamation was read in the council chambers Monday afternoon, with 47 ABC’s General Manager Kathleen McLain on hand to celebrate the start of the week.
Events for the week include a business funding competition Thursday at SU, with $125,000 in prize money available. There’s an SU student Entrepreneurship Competition on Friday and Saturday is the Shark Tank casting call.
Locals can pitch their business ideas for a chance to see a casting producer for the hit ABC show. Salisbury City Council President Jake Day says he’s thrilled to see Shark Tank come back this year.
Day continues, “When you look at the other cities that we’re in the category with, you know Boston, Houston, Texas, San Diego, and Denver, that part is really exciting to see Salisbury in the mix there.”
The Shark Tank casting call will begin at 9 a.m. at Salisbury University.
