Salisbury Christian Wins 9th Straight Championship

The Salisbury Christian baseball team has won eight consecutive PACC championships and on Thursday – against rival, Holly Grove – the Jaguars looked to make it nine straight titles.

The Jags would take a 3-1 lead after three innings of play, but in the top of the fourth, the Eagles would tie things up with Jacob Barfield bringing in two runs to tie up the game at three. The game would not be tied for long – in the bottom of the fourth – senior, Jesse Bennett, brought in 2 runs of his own with a stand up double to take a 6-3 lead.

The fifth inning is where the Jags took control – after a couple of runs being walked in – Salisbury Christian’s bats caught fire scoring 8 runs to take a 14-4 lead ending the game in the fifth inning due to slotter rule.

The Salisbury Christian Jaguars win their 9th straight PACC Championship in the fourth win of the season over the Eagles.
