Rt. 113 to begin construction

Road construction on a busy Delaware roadway is set begin on June 1.
Crews will begin constructing a double southbound left-turn lane on Route 113 at Dasgboro and Handy Roads, weather permitting.
According to DelDot, the project also includes the widening of Route 20 to accommodate more vehicles.
This intersection has reportedly had high crash rates in the past. DelDot numbers show 55 crashes occurred between 2002 and 2006.
We’re told the new construction can alleviate conflicts on the road during times of heavy traffic.
