The Queen Anne’s baseball team is moving on to the regional championship game after the Lions upset Parkside 5-4 in the regional semifinals. Queen Anne’s will now face Patterson Mills in the regional championship game.

The Lions would strike first, grabbing a 1-0 lead in the top of the 2nd off a RBI double from Tyler Brown. The lead would then swell to 5-0 after several miscues from the Rams in the 3rd. The score would remain the same til the bottom of the 6th, where the Rams mounted a come back. They would work the bases loaded with no outs, before a walk would bring in a run. Connor Shockley followed that up with a 2 RBI single to right to cut the deficit to just one before the Lions got out of the inning. Hunter Parsons would take over pitching duties for the Rams in the top of the 7th close the door. Matt Smith lead things off in the bottom of the 7th with a single. A pinch runner would come in, and be sac bunted over to 2nd. A fielders choice would provide the second out of the inning, and bring the tying run to 3rd. LaBron Hilliard then came to the plate. He would hit a high chopper up the middle and race up the line. The bang-bang play at first was called out, ending the game, and giving the Lions their huge upset win, while ending the Rams season.
