PRMC opens Salisbury family practice office

Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) has opened another family medicine practice.

The new practice in Salisbury is PRMC’s first location in that area in roughly two decades. Officials say the demand for primary care services in Salisbury is growing, so they’re meeting that demand.

The new office is right across the street from the hospital on East Carroll Street, and as of Monday is officially open for business. They’re accepting patients of all ages Monday through Saturday and will be offering complete family medicine services like physicals and blood tests.

Dr. Nicole Alu-Parks says, “It has been difficult to get people scheduled and seen for preventative care. There’s a large influx of people using the emergency room for just minor illnesses. We hope to make some change in that.”

PRMC has opened multiple practices in Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia within the past 20 years.
