Princess Anne woman charged with attempted arson

Officials from the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office say a 62-year old Princess Anne woman was charged with arson related charges, after fire marshals say she was responsible for trying to burn her husband’s mobile home. Authorities say the act reportedly happened following a dispute over a domestic issue.
Fire Marshals say the incident occurred around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon on the 11000 block of Old Princess Anne Road in Princess Anne.
Investigators say they were contacted after a report from a family member says the suspect poured gasoline on the floor of the mobile home following a break-in.
The suspect was charged with Attempted 1st Degree Arson, 1st Degree Burglary, Arson Threat, and Malicious Destruction of Property.
The news release from the Maryland State Fire Marshal says the woman was taken to the Somerset County Detention Center where she remains on $50,000 bond. Officials say no one was hurt during the incident
