Power plant in Wilmington damaged by fire

(AP) – Fire officials say a fire damaged a power plant in Wilmington.
Firefighters responded to the blaze that broke out late Tuesday at the Hay Road facility owned by Calpine Corp. and found fire showing from the roof and from a boiler unit.
Fire department spokesman Battalion Chief Timothy Perkins says one worker was evaluated by emergency personnel, but refused further treatment. Perkins says it took about four hours to control the blaze.
There was significant damage to the building and rooftop boiler unit, but officials say no damage estimate was available.
The Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
