Panthers’ softball advances to state semifinals with win over Appoquinimink

Shaina Reed struck out 13 batters as Polytech scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, to take down the Appo Jags 5-1 Thursday afternoon.

Kailey Perry had three hits for Poly, and Morgan Dodge and Amanda Waishes added two in the victory. Brandy Dalious’ RBI double in the sixth put the game away for Polytech.

The Panthers now move on to take on Delmar in the state semifinals. The game is set for Thursday, May 28th, game time starting at 4 pm at Indian River High School
