One reported dead after single car crash in Berlin

Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack say one man is dead after a single car crash in Worcester County, early Monday morning.

Troopers say they responded to the area of Route 90 ramp, east of Route 50 at about 3:40 AM for a reported crash. Once officials arrived, they reportedly found 32-year-old Travis Irving, of Elkridge dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Irving was driving a 1997 Chevy SUV west bound on Route 90, when witness say the vehicle left the road and hit a tree. Police believe he was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle after impact.

Troopers say, Irving’s family has been contacted and his body has been sent to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

West bound on Route 90 was closed for about two hours while an investigation was conducted.
