Milford man accused of trying to solicit child for sex

A Milford man is behind bars, after he reportedly tried to convince an adolescent to have sex with him.

Milford Police say on Thursday, Officers with their  Criminal Division arrested 23-year-old Raheem Williams Jr., and charged him with sexual solicitation of a child under 18-years-old and obscenity material provided to a person under 18-year-old.

The charges apparently stem from an investigation, during which Detectives say they found that Williams was attempting to convince an adolescent girl to have sex with him. Police say Williams also sent the girl videos of himself committing sexual acts of his own.

After being charged, Williams was ordered to be held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $110,000 cash bond.
