May 29 -Milford Community Band 25th Anniversary Concert

The major purpose of the band is to provide a place to play their horns. They have rehearsals every Tuesday evening from 7:00 till 9:00 PM except for December. Secondary purpose is to provide public concerts.

Membership across the years has included young people from middle school, high school and college students. There have been a couple of “Home Schooled” youth in the band also. Current membership includes members in their eighties.

Members come from all over Kent and Sussex Counties – Smyrna, Dover, Felton, Magnolia, Harrington, Houston, Milton, Millsboro, Lewes, and Rehoboth Beach.  Two members come from Salisbury, MD.  As of August 2014, there have been 430 people in the MCB.  Current MCB membership is 45.

To celebrate the history the Milford Community Band will have their 25th Anniversary Concert on Sunday, June 14 at 3:00 PM in Milford High School Auditorium.
