Mardela Baseball Take Shootout Over WiHi

The Mardela baseball team hit the road Thursday night and came away with a 17-13 shootout win over Wicomico High School. The win improves the Warriors to 3-14, while the loss drops the Indians to 5-12.

Mardela would jump out to a quick 8-0 lead thanks to timely hits from Cole Lambrose and Hunter Niblett. The Indians would fight their way back into the game though, as the bats came alive for the home team. Malike Johnson would get it started in the 2nd, followed by another big hit from Ben Davis in the 3rd. Matt Moorehead would then deliver an RBI single to get the Indians back within 5 runs. The teams would continue to exchange runs from there, but eventually the Warriors would pull out the win. 

Mardela wraps up their regular season with a trip to Crisfield on Monday, while WiHi host Cambridge SD on Monday.
