Lewes ENT practice reopened for business

A Lewes ear, nose and throat practice is back in business following an investigation questioning their sterilization process.

Delaware Otolaryngology Consultants, LLC was first ordered to be closed by the Division of Public Health back in early April.

The practice was allowed to be re-opened for business after the DPH received their plan of corrections on April 24; however, we’re told they have given up their invasive medical procedure designation. This includes procedures that require anesthesia or sedation.

Emily Knearl of the DPH means the medical practice in question would no longer be regulated by the agency.

“However, the state division of professional regulations regulates all medical professions in the state of Delaware licensing  and so if there are any complaints about this particular building, we would forward any complaints to the medical licensing board.” Says Knearl.
