Input sought on historic Woodland School House building

A meeting is being held to decide the fate of a nearly 100-year-old building in Delaware.

Sussex County Officers say on June 4 at 6:00 PM, at the Woodland United Methodist Churck, near Seaford, they will be holding a public meeting about the historic Woodland School House.

The building apparently served as the center of education in the tiny Nanticoke River village during the early 20th century. The school house currently sits on the former Woodland Golf Park property, which is being transformed into a low-impact park near Seaford.

Officials are looking for input on the best options for the space, and the possibility of moving it for more options. For more information, contact County Engineer Michael Izzo at 302-855-7718.
