Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, in 2012 heart disease killed 17,500,000 people. That’s 3 out of every 10 deaths. But you can prevent it by making a few changes to your every day routine.
Dr. Robert Myers of Beebe Healthcare suggests that you keep your diet full of fresh vegetables, fruits and lean meats. He also says its important to keep as active as you can in your daily routine.
Dr. Myers says we all have the resources to do those kind of things we just have to make the choice. If you feel that you are having symptoms of a heart attack such as chest pains or shortness of breath, get screened by your doctor immediately.
