Frederica crash hospitalizes one

Delaware State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that sent one person to the hospital Sunday.
Police tell 47 ABC the crash happened just before 7 a.m., when a 58-year-old Pennsylvania man was traveling northbound on Bay Road, just north of South Frederica Road.
According to reports, the car traveled off the roadway and into the center median where it struck a yield sign. Authorities say it then continued into the southbound lanes, where it overturned numerous times before coming to a stop in the roadway and landed on the roof of the car.
The driver was reportedly airlifted from the scene by Delaware State Police Aviation to Christiana Medical Center where he is currently admitted in stable condition.
According to police, alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in this collision; however, they say an acute medical condition experienced by the driver may have been a prime contributing factor in this crash.
Troopers are continuing their investigation into this incident.
