Evening Forecast

bi-rite skycam, where we saw a pop-up thunderstorm move through earlier this afternoon. seaford is now looking much better, but we could see some more showers as the evening continues. for our weather watchers, we have kenny in preston, pat in riverdale, connie holmburg in greenwood, and carol loy in long neck all sitting at 79 degrees. george tarpley in sharptown is a little cooler, only at 68 degrees, while lane in hebron sits at a mild 72. somers cove marina in crisfield is on the warmer side, at 81 degrees, and paul in georgetown is still at 78.. now, overnight, we will see mostly clear skies, but we do have the potential for a stray shower or two across the region as some active weather moves in from the west. temperatures will remain on the mild side, dropping into the mid-60s, and the winds will be on the lighter side coming from the south. tomorrow, we are still going to see mostly sunny skies. however, as the afternoon continues, we could see another stray shower or two as a cold front begins to make its way into our area. temperatures will be topping out in the lower 80s, but still staying cooler on the coast, with a warm southerly wind. as we wrap up the weekend, the cold front we mentioned will be reaching the peninsula and will stall just off the coast, washing out most of your monday and into your tuesday morning, as well as bringing much cooler temperatures and breezier conditions associated with any storms from this system. as we head into next weekend, we can expect these conditions to clear, bringing sunnier skies and 80 degree temperatures. now it’s time for fugitive friday-
