Easton baseball advances to Round 2

The Easton baseball team advanced to the second round of the Maryland state playoffs, defeating Kent Island 7-1 Friday afternoon.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead, and held a 4-1 lead after the fifth inning. Using sharp pitching and timely defense, the Warriors held Kent Island to one run all game, and added a couple more in the final innings, including a Ryan Farr RBI double that scored Brennan Cassell.

Easton baseball will now travel to Queen Anne’s on Monday to host the 2nd seeded Lions.
