“Drive and drink-o, put in the clink-o”

“This Cinco, if you drive and drink-o, we’ll put you in the clink-o.” That’s the warning posted on the twitter page of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.

They say there is nothing wrong with having a drink and celebrating Cinco De Mayo tonight, but drunk driving will not be tolerated. Patrols will be watching.

Lt. Tim Robinson says, “We want people to think before they get out behind the wheel tonight after they’ve had too much to drink. We’re going out to find these individuals that are drinking and driving. As a matter of fact we’re gonna have extra people on duty just to find you.”

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says you can help keep the streets safe too. If you’re on the road and see anyone that appears to be drinking and driving, you can call 911 to report it.
