DPD Street Crimes Unit makes cocaine arrest

The Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit say they have arrested a homeless Dover man for possession of crack cocaine and several arrest warrants, during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
Reports say at about 2:40 PM, 25-year-old Robert Young was stopped on the streets of South State Street and Wyoming Avenue. During the stop, police say Young gave officer’s a false name. Once officer’s determined that Young was lying, he was taken into custody. After a search of Young police say they found 1.6 grams of crack cocaine. Police also learned that Young had active warrants from the Delaware State Police, Frederica Police, and a warrant of out of Pennsylvania as well.
Young was taken to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $9,266 secured bond. He is being charged with possession of crack cocaine, criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia and out of state fugitive.
