Dover Baseball Rallies Late To Take Down DMA
The Dover baseball team took on the Delaware military Academy at home for the state tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams pictures were dealing on the mound making it hard for much offense to generate. If you controversial calls were made on Dover’s side – one of the biggest plays in the game was a two-run home-run by Tevin Thomas that was ruled foul, however, Dover coaches did not agree. In the top of the third inning, DMA got on the board with an RBI double up the third baseline to make it a 1-0 game.
The Senators sat quiet for the first three innings, but they came out in the fourth inning ready to play. Dover managed to round up four runs to take a 4-2 lead and would hold on for the win.
The Senators advance to the next round of the playoffs where they’ll face number four seed, Hodgson, on the road at 4:00 pm.
