Delmar Baseball Downs N. Dorchester

The Delmar baseball team picked up a non-conference win Wednesday afternoon when they defeated North Dorchester 11-5. The win improves the Wildcats to 7-8, while the loss drops the Eagles to 2-15 according to Digital Sports.
The Wildcats would strike first, with a Christian Murphy 3 run blast in the the 1st. The Cats would then go on to add a couple more runs after a Tim Ward RBI single, and a Jimmy Adkins scoring off a wild pitch. The Eagles would then fight their way back. A. J. Willey would hit an RBI double to left to get the scoring started, then Jacob Bialk would rope a 3 RBI double off the fence in left. Delmar would settle down from there though, as their bats would bring them home the win.
Delmar returns to action Thursday when they host Sussex Central, while North Dorchester returns to the field Friday when they travel to play Washington in the first round of the State Tournament.
