Delaware State Police investigating Sussex Co. robbery

Authorities in Delaware are currently looking for two suspects after an armed robbery in Sussex County on Tuesday.

According to officials with the Delaware State Police, around 9:35 Tuesday night, two men wearing masks approached two women unloading groceries on Airport Road in Rehoboth Beach.

The suspects reportedly demanded the victim’s money and purses. When the suspects refused to give in to the demands, reports say they were assaulted.

Police say one of the men was armed. Both men eventually fled the scene with both purses and some cash.

The victims were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. Police say the were children sitting in the car the woman were unloaded but, they were not injured.
