Del. officials remind motorists to “Share The Road”

Delaware officials are reminding motorists and motorcyclists about roadway safety through a campaign called “Share The Road”.

Starting May 22nd through June 6th, state and local law enforcement will be patrolling roadways to ensure motorcycle safety laws are being complied.

This includes more following distance by allowing a motorcyclist the full lane width. Over the last five years, motorcycle fatalities averaged 12% of all total fatalities in Delaware.

So far, the First State has had four deaths in 2015.
