Darling Sentenced to 30 years behind Bars

41-year-old Dashaune Darling will spend the next thirty years behind bars.
The sentence handed down Thursday stemming from an attempted traffic stop which led to a high-speed car chase through three Eastern Shore Counties.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matt Maciarello says somehow no one was injured despite Darling ignoring all traffic regulations. Police did find Darling in a bullet proof body armor vest along with a .40 caliber handgun, crack cocaine and cash in his car.
Luckily, no shots were fired but during a search of Darling’s home after his arrest investigators found more drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Darling was already convicted on drug charges in Delaware and has additional charges pending.
In Maryland, he will be facing first degree murder charges in Dorchester County which he will stand trial for in September.
Maciarello tells 47 ABC he agrees with the judge’s stiff sentence.
“He’s an armed career criminal were happy,” Maciarello says, “He’s out of the hair of our law enforcement officials not only here but in Kent County Delaware where he’s also been active in.”
