Colonels pull one out late to defeat CSD

The Colonel Richardson softball team defeated Cambridge 6-3, Thursday afternoon in American Corner.

Jaz Brooks had a sacrifice fly that pushed Colonel’s lead to 4-1 in the fourth, but Cambridge responded with two runs in the top half of the inning, as Paige Bleyer led the charge, singling and bringing in Kristie Malkus, and cutting the defecit to 4-3. Janya Turner would put it away for Colonel, with a two-run single in the bottom half of the 6th, to put it away.
