Church evacuates after arching electrical panel

Church members at Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Hispana evacuated their Sunday school and multipurpose building on Sunday after sparks began bursting from their electrical panel box.

The Salisbury Fire Department tells us they got a call about an arcing electrical panel around 10 a.m. The church’s electrical box was removed by Delmarva Power and no injuries were reported.

However, we’re told without the box, the building does not have any power. The church’s pastor tells us they hope to have it back up and running by next week.
