Cause of Somerset Co. house fire under investigation

The cause of a Sunday afternoon fire in Somerset County, remains under investigation.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the flames started around 3:20 PM outside of a Hideaway Lane home, in Dames Quarters.

After a neighbor called reported the blaze, ten firefighters from Deal Island, and Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Department responded, and had the flames under control within 5 minutes. There were no injuries reported.

Damages are reportedly estimated at $1,000. The cause is still under investigation at this time.
